Linda M. Wiechman always had an interest in art and has been working in the field for 25 years. Ms. Wiechman has extensive experience in Native American art and artifacts and lends her talents to Something Native, a nonprofit organization that is owned by Ms. Wiechman and sells Native American art. A creative spirit with boundless artistic talent, she makes creative native carvings, paints, weaves baskets, gathers fossils, creates handmade button blankets, and teaches Native American jewelry and fabric weaving. She also creates artwork for ARAMARK, as well as the Elwha S’Klallam tribe. Ms. Wiechman believes the best part of her job is being able to work with a diverse group of people and teach others. She attributes her success to her naturally artistic personality and her skills as an artist. In the coming years, Ms. Wiechman hopes to become recognized as a master of American Indian artistry, specifically for her contributions to the Elwha S’Klallam tribe.
