Ms. Clark began her career as a writer, director and traffic manager in television and as a continuity director in radio. She co-owned two newspapers and has had numerous articles published in newspapers, magazines and journals. as well as her poetry published in anthologies and newspapers. Ms. Clark has also taught weekly poetry and fiction writing courses to adults, as well as editing, proofreading, effective writing, fundamentals of writing, writing for results, plain language writing, successful letter writing and report writing classes in the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Graduate School.

Ms. Clark is an accomplished literary professional who received the national award for her book entitled, “Is Anybody Listening: The True Story About the POW/MIAs in the Vietnam War.” She wrote a monthly travel column, “From Here to There,” for the Lincoln News Messenger from 2004 until 2010. In addition, she was the co-publisher of ShortReads Press; its third book, “Ghosts We Have Known,” was published in late 2008. In 2011, she ghostwrote, “Broken in II: A Soldier’s Story of Surviving World War II and PTSD.”  Also, the second edition of her 2005 book, “Is Anybody Listening? – A True Story About The POW/MIAs In The Vietnam War” is now in bookstores. Her latest book, “Tell Them I Loved Life – Brian’s Story,” a biography published in 2014, is available on Amazon.com.

Ms. Clark formed the Poets Club of Lincoln in 2003 and began Lincoln’s first annual poetry contest, Voices of Lincoln, now in its eleventh year. It has become an international poetry contest. She also started Lincoln’s monthly open mic for poets in 2003, which is presented by The Poets Club and sponsored by the Friends of the Lincoln Public Library. Her dedication to personal expression has opened doors for aspiring artists and enabled her to garner a strong reputation in the publishing industry. In 2014, she helped 29 authors write their manuscripts and get them published.

Ms. Clark was originally selected for inclusion in EliteAMERICAN Artists in 2014. We are proud to be featuring Ms. Clark again in EliteAMERICAN Artists for 2015.
